gossip girl is so fab..

in the event that you have nothing to do on a tuesday night and you dont wanna bored out of your wits, try tuning in to ETC on cable TV and wait for Gossip Girl at 8:00pm (puhleez, do not extend Tyra again).

people belonging to the generation when Sex and the City and Melrose Place were must-watch serials would really appreciate this fabulous new show that has been creating so much buzz in the US of A.

set in the busy streets of Manhattan, Gossip Girl showcases the love-hate relationship of frenemies Serena and Blair, as things are narrated by their regular blogger Gossip Girl (voiced by the beautiful Kristen Bell of Heroes and Veronica Mars).

the storyline very much focuses on the scheming cat fights of these ladies, sort of similar to Mean Girls, but much more sophisticated.

story aside, here are a few reasons why i am starting to love it:

the delectable Chace Crawford. he was nothing in The Covenant, he didnt even register in my mind, but here, he does a lot. cutesy patootsey, i love it.

Kelly Rutherford, who now plays a mom. i loved her in Melrose Place (and im feeling good about MP alumni comebacks) i still love her now.

Matthew Settle. he had a short stint in Brothers and Sisters, i was so bitin, so seeing him in GG more than makes up for that.

Kristen Bell, i hated her in Veronica Mars and loved her in Heroes. the all-knowing feel her narration exudes is very much exciting for me. i definitely lurve her here.

Manhattan. this shows how much i miss the fashions and faces of Manhattan. hail to the only ladies who ruled the Big Apple, my SATC girls!
